Having noticed a surge of Chinese and Asian films in recent years, do you think they represent the culture justly?

Do you think the American cinema industry has "monopolised" the film market? Looking into international cinemas would suggest this.

Will the Chinese industry ever match Hollywood?

what data are you baseing these assumptions from, I don't think hollywood has monopolized the industry but has bastardized foreign scripts and remakes of classic films. Very few original scripts in mainstream hollywood that I've seen.Will the chinese industry ever match hollywood? god I hope not, that would mean throwing out all artistic intregrity and regurgitating the standerd formula for the " blockbuster film " but hey I could just talking out of my hat... And question about culture representation , I wouldn't know

The only thing that made me post this is, I haven't been impressed since Crouchin Tiger.

Most visually stunning film I've seen in years has got to be Saawariya. I know its Bollywood but man was I impressed by it.
