The thing that triggered my love for horror movies was when I was 6 years old. What I remember is I was watching Evil Dead on TV and I got really scared but I kept watching it. Since then, I love that kind of movie. I'm attracted to unrealistic more than real like.

When i was a boy going back a bit, maybe 1987 or 88 i would ask my mum for movies from the video store when she was away on a special occasion like a party or something to pick me up a video and she was naive and would pick me up horror titles with realising they were horror movies like The puppet master or Demonic toys so i would be 8 years old watching horror flicks by myself as a toddler and ever since then i've been a major horror fan.

I mean look at these covers how the hell did she not know

She would also pick me up babycham from the stores thinking they were for kids because the picture of the baby deer on the front and the miniature size of the bottles but in fact are as strong as a bottle of budweiser 5.2% alcohol which is probably the reason why i like a good drink while watching a horror movie.

Suspense i think. Really slow and controlled. And then suddenly . . . . BAM - something horrifying enough to make you jump out of your skin! The classics like Misery and The Shining are such great horrors because they dont rely on effects, just brilliant acting making a stories believable . . .

DogSoldiers is my favourite horror movie (go figure) because it's a werewolf movie and you don't see or care about the werewolf's because the cast is so interesting and different.
