I'm desperately trying to remember the name of a movie that I want to quote for a paper (unfortunately I can't remember anyone who starred in it).
What I do remember is a wanna-be writer suffering from writer's block and hiding behind a career of journalism, goes to visit a very famous recluse writer who wrote a one-hit wonder and isn't writing either. The recluse writer is famous for not giving interviews but agrees if the journalist will try writing his novel. There is a vivid scene (which I think takes place in a vinyard) where the recluse writer tells the journalist about the necessity of writing from experience. How can he write about being punched in the stomach if he has no idea what it feels like??? Recluse then punches journalist a whopper in the stomach, he goes down like a sack of potatoes, and the recluse begins to wax lyrical on all the feelings, smells, sounds, and sights that he is experiencing. PLEASE! If this rings any bells, any clues would be grateful! Even one person that starred in it would be useful if you can't remember the title! Thanks!! |
