Dobermann is a perfect example of a violent French movie
![]() That is my favourite violent french movie, But i suppose there has been alot of controversial American movies made in France like the French connection 2 with Gene Hackman in the mid 1970's where they tie Gene Hackman up and turn him into a Herion addict and a more recent movie would be Kiss of the Dragon with Jet li involving more drug abuse and prostitution. I would say if theres any big names and huge budgets France will role out the carpet and forget about censorship but if you want to create a low budget movie in france with unheard of stars then France would complain about censorship.
